We actually built the first remote control ever used in the OR by a surgeon for eye surgery. There’s no situation where precision and reliability is needed more.
We also supplied the first high speed infrared remote controls used in the classroom for accurate test taking. They enabled thirty or more students to answer questions using infrared remote controls without collisions between the IR signals. We developed more than ten different systems for this type of application starting back around 2001.
